When I worked at Hofstra on Long Island, we had no classes on the Jewish as well as Christian holidays. It was actually pretty nice.
Perhaps we exhibited a Buddhism bias? I am not aware of ever receiving a memo re Islamic students (Ramadan),or Haitian students(Voodoo),Afro-Cubans (Santeria) and Brazilians (Condomble). Send me something.
