There are a number of on-line calculators - how accurate they are, I
don't know. Most will use a 12oz beer as the standard beer quantity (I
assume using 5% alcohol - but the good stuff is often a little higher).

options - anyone know what's in a Harry Buffalo and do I really want to
know).

Subject: [tips] Strange Question about BAC

Hi all,

I had a student ask me in my brain class today about blood alcohol
content. They wanted to know how to figure out your blood alcohol
content based on their weight and number of drinks and time elapsed.
Strange. I am not sure if they were asking from experience or if they
got into trouble or what, but me being who I am and liking to have an
answer to students' questions, I am heading to you for answers. They
wanted to know if someone weighed 204lbs. (this person I don't think
could weight that much, but anyway), drank seven 16oz. beers in 5.5
hours, how much could their BAC be? And then they asked how long it
takes for the alcohol to get out of their system. Does anyone have any
information at all on this?

Thanks in advance,

Nina
