I never stopped double spacing at the end of sentences and never was called on 
it.  I don't think anyone notices. The automatic line-typing takes care of it 
all.

Can't one just ignore the entire thing?
Perhaps if it is ignored it will go away.
Isn't there another way the APA can make money?
