Mike P: I agree,but keep in mind that even though there might be solid data to justify recommendations,there are other factors that may contribute to publc resistance.For example the recommendation thae women could wait till 5o for mammograms was based on good data.And going way back,wasn't there a study that purported that child sexual abuse did not have any significant devastating effect on the adult?Congress was not buying it.
