The University of Houston-Downtown is seeking a tenure-track Assistant
Professor of Psychology for Fall, 1999.  We are especially interested in
someone who will do an excellent job of teaching a variety of
undergraduate courses in our new Psychology degree program.  Applicants
must have a doctorate in Psychology.  Area of specialization is open,
but familiarity with the biological bases of behavior would be useful.
Requirements of the position include a teaching load of 12 hours per
semester, maintaining a scholarly research agenda, and active
participation in department, university, and community affairs.  UH-D is
an open-admissions, primarily undergraduate university located in
downtown Houston.  It has a highly diverse population of about 8,000
