I am forwarding the following at the request of Cheryl Carr. It seems
that since Goleman came up with his unvalidated internet quiz, other
researchers have begun to develop measures of EQ. Cheryl passes
along the following example of one.

Dr. Froman,

Found one EQ test published by MHS...1800 456-3003 or
http://www.mhs.com,
claiming to be the "world's first scientific measure of EQ. " It is a 133
item, self-report inventory, taking approximately 30 minutes to
complete....ages 16+. Is one of my research interests...comparing NLD
children, LD, and non-LD children on EQ (among other measures).

There are 15 factorial components listed. It is called the "BarOn
Emotional Quotient Inventory, [BarOn EQ-i].

Best,
