TIPsters might be interested (or dismayed) to know that
the art of reading character in the phiz is still popular. The
trick, apparently, is not to use the well-known 'European'
system of J. C. Lavater, but a much more ancient system
developed in China. So much for the much-quoted (but
never specifically attributed) comment, "all you Occidentals
look the same to me."
