I compiled some comments from Tips members about cognitive textbooks. They are available on the page http://www.river.org/~flf/CognitionTextbooks.html I am currently using Sternberg. The students like the way that it is written. I'm finding the organization awkward e.g., SDT and metamemory in the 'attention' chapter. I may switch next time I teach Cognitive. In the meantime, I'm teaching Intro. for the first time next semester. Does anyone have any suggestions for textbooks and more general comments about good and bad approaches? Thank you.
