Thanks for going after that information, Sandra.  

One thing, though.  I don't think Richard Norman is discussing the
same issue we were discussing.  He's saying that there's a big
difference between sodium channels and sodium _pumps_ (transporters).
But we'd been talking about subtypes of sodium channels, and whether
there's a non-gated, perpetually open type.
