Well I haven't been having much luck but thought I'd try again just in case someone is 
out there who can answer this question:

Is there actually such a thing as being a "light sleeper" as in being easily woken up 
because you get less slow-wave sleep relative to the average, or is this just a 
subjective impression that people have about themselves that is based on confirmation 
bias/selective memory and "what I want to believe about myself?"

I have many curious students who ask all these good questions and I am hoping for some 
guidance.  Thanks so much.
