I can't quantify the time I spend on anything, but I do cover Erikson in
our lifespan development course mainly because it's a reasonably structured
theory that covers adult issues. We have a lot of concepts about adult
development in the texts, but few full-blown theories, and our lifespan
course is also aimed at developing students' abilities to think using
theory.
