Just in case anybody was wondering,in a post which will appear shortly or already has, I didn't make a mistake in sending it to the list, even though it carries the note "off-list". For one thing, it doesn't have anything embarrassing in it, which is what you'd expect from that sort of mistake. My mistake was in not deleting the phrase "off-list" when I decided to send it to the list after all.
