Thanks! -JV ==================== The Department of Philosophy, Psychology, and Cognitive Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks a Chairperson and two additional faculty to help develop the departmentÕs emerging focus in applied cognitive science. We seek individuals with research interests that stress applications to human performance including human factors engineering and design, research and modeling in reasoning and decision-making processes, artificial intelligence, information technology, and complex systems. For all three positions, a Ph.D. in psychology or an area closely related to the departmentÕs new focus is required. Applicants for the ChairÕs position should be senior scholars with a strong record of scholarship, a history of extramural research support, and a demonstrated commitment to administrative leadership. Rank for the two tenure-track faculty positions is open. The department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology and philosophy and we are currently developing a graduate research program in cognitive engineering at the doctoral level. We enjoy collaborative arrangements with other doctoral granting units on campus.
