Here is a link to my class website that has links for each topic. Following
the links will take you to a powerpoint presentation. In order to view them,
you must be using microsoft explorer, not netscape (blame it on Bill G.).

Subject: examples of web outlines (was powerpoint duscussion)

Hello-
I would like to share what I do in regards to the recent discussion over
the usefulness of powerpoint/providing outlines to students.

As others have also noted, I post realtively bare skeleton outlines of my
class lectures ahead of time on the web. Students seem to like this, they
report that it helps them understand and anticipate the main points of
each class. I'm not sure how much it actually helps their learning or
test performance.
For those who are interested, my outlines can be found at
http://www-personal.ksu.edu/~tagler/psych110.htm

Any feedback & comments are welcome.
I would be especially interested in viewing the web sites of others and
seeing how others outlines compare to mine in terms of detail and
organization.

Thanks.
-Mike
