I can't remember what article it was, but something similar was
happening in the states where a couple were suing the government for
making their baby's DNA available for research without consent. The
collection, storage, and use of babies DNA is apparently routinely
carried out by said government.

Of course that would never happen in Canada. Here it would be
impossible for the parents to find out!
