If you're not looking *just* for psychology fodder, I highly recommend *Cutting for Stone* by Abraham Verghese, which I've almost finished. I think it's #7 on the NYTimes paperback list right now. It's one of the best books I've read in a long, long time, and I'm a voracious reader. It's pretty long, but *do not let that put you off.* This is an amazing book. The author is a physician at Stanford, born in India. I keep putting off things I need to do so I can get back to it.
