So far explanations for the so called differences have not been addressed.Statistical rectitude has nothing to do with the underlying explanations as to differences in test scores.One issue that should be addressed is the idea that the within group-variance among black kids is smaller than that of white kids.There is also the issue of race versus class not necessarily income-wise but parental values.There is also the concern that crime in white neighbrhoods may not be of the ostentatious variety,pedophilic,drug transactions and even murder. Re Hispanic kids observing violonce,since most of the victims were black,maybe the Hispanic kids do not care what happen to black folks anyway,so why should they be affected? Hispanics do not identify with blacks .I will have a separate post on race relations in the Americas later. Of course the question of testing validity remains in the forefront.
