We have an earthquake kit at home. All the recommended stuf and some that we bought from the redcross, including car kits we have in each vehicle. We keep the big kit it in the back yard in a sturdy rubbermade plastic container. Our yard is very small. It's quite near the house.
Now here is my fear: the house collapses and buries the earthquake kit...then what? Well, in the case of zombies at least it will be accessible. Annette ps: that reminds, I should check the batteries in the radio; but the flashlight has a hand crank ;) Annette Kujawski Taylor, Ph. D. Now, this isn't just some idle speculation on my part that is part of my procrastination in doing course related work, no sir/madam/whatever, I'm talking about what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are doing. As reported last week in the NY Times, the CDC is taking the Zombie threat seriously (it should given that the Atlanta headquarters got blown up real good in the season finale of "The Walking Dead"). The news story can be accessed here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/20/health/20cdc.html?_r=1&ref=science For those who want to follow the CDC's recommendations for dealing with the coming Zombie Apocalypse, just check out the CDC's page on it: http://emergency.cdc.gov/socialmedia/zombies_blog.asp All this raises the question of whether anyone has taught a course on the Psychology of Zombies (if so, can one get a copy of the course syllabus?)? And, because the Zombie threat grows greater everyday, has anyone included Kinemortophobia when covering phobias? Do the traditional methods of dealing with phobias work with kinemortophobia? It would awful to be paralyzed by fear just as a bunch of zombie start noshing on one's flesh. -Mike Palij New York University m...@nyu.edu --- You are currently subscribed to tips as: slil...@emory.edu.
