OPENING FOR A TENURE-STREAM POSITION IN CRITICAL/FEMINIST PSYCHOLOGY AT UPEI

The University of Prince Edward Island is inviting applications for a
tenure-stream position in Critical/Feminist Psychology at the Assistant
Professor level beginning July 1, 2012. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in
psychology (or a Ph.D. in final stages of completion), demonstrated teaching
ability, a student centered approach to teaching, evidence of research
potential, and evidence of research success.

The successful candidate will teach courses in critical/feminist psychology,
some of which are cross-listed with the Women’s Studies programme, and will
contribute to teaching foundational courses such as introductory psychology or
research methodology. The teaching assignment in the first two years of a
tenure-stream appointment is two courses in each of the fall and winter
semesters; the normal teaching assignment would then be two courses one
semester and three the other. Opportunities exist for supervision of students
undertaking honours theses.
