If one associates "Free Love" with being a hippie (there are other things, associated with being a hippies like drugs, organic restaurants, etc.), then one might be justified with labeling the bonobo the "hippie chimp" as some in the scientific community have done. What makes this noteworthy at this moment in time is that the genome for the randy ape has been sequenced.
