Hi

I did enjoy it as well, although I wondered about the implication that number
of different types of rods NECESSARILY translated into richness of colour
experience. Is it not possible that humans with only 3 types could have a
richer colour repertoire because of combined activation from multiple rods as
opposed to organisms with more rods but non-combinatorial connections to the
brain?

Remind me never to go near a mantis shrimp when swimming!

Take care
Jim
