Hello, Just joined the group because I am looking for some answers before I invest in Tivo. I travel for a living; I relocate every 3-6 months. My company puts me up in a furnished apt. Each apt has a TV but they vary from very primitive (no S jacks) to state of the art HDs. I usually get basic cable included, occasionally the apt comes with an upgraded cable package. None of the apts include a DVR and I really don't like having to pay the outrageous extra fee for a DVR to Comcast, Time Warner or whatever cable company supplies the service. I guess I want to know if Tivo is a viable option for me. Can I travel with it from place to place? Will I need to buy extra adaptors for each TV? Will the unit store my programs when I disconnect it to change locations? Any help would be appreciated!
