QATAR FERTILIZER COMPANY (QAFCO) is an ISO 9002, 14001 and OSHAS 18001
certified company. The company is located at Mesaieed in the State of Qatar
and operates three Ammonia and three Urea plants, with total capacities of
3,800 and 4,500 metric tons per day respectively. The company has a staff
strength of 820 from 24 nationalities. The company has the following vacant
positions :
Environment Engineer (Senior Staff) Post Date:5 Apr 01
Basic Salary : QAR 6,300/- Per Month.
This position is responsible for the coordination and follow-up of
environmental management system requirements, established environment
practices, monitoring programmes, waste management procedures, training
etc., environmental data for annual reports, participating in investigation
of enviromental incidents, follow-up of environmental legistation standards,
coordinate the collection and record data on gaseous, solid and liquid
wastes for authorities, etc., update environmental manual, register of
aspects/impacts, register of environmental legislations.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering,
with specialized training and/or courses in Environmental Engineering and
Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Quality Systems, monitoring
techniques & programmes, waste management and waste minimisation, air
polution modelling etc., be computer literate with minimum 5 years
experience in the environmental management, preferably from the oil and gas
industry.
General Conditions :
A good command of English language both written and spoken is essential
Currency Exchange Rate : 1 USD = QAR 3.65.
In addition to the basic salary, eligable for Travel Assistance or QAR. 420
/to QAR. 660/- per month, Annual Leave of 42 calender days, End of Service
Benefits starting from 21 days per annum, Free Company family accommodation
of Housing Allowance, Insurance cover of QAR. 200,000/-. Subsidized medical
care, QAR 35,000/- Car Loan and QAR 600 Car Allowance, QAR 35,000/-
Furniture Loan and QAR 400/- Furniture Allowance, etc. THE MAXIMUM AGE FOR
THESE POSITIONS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 40 YEARS.
