Exactly. Instead of writing this LS, they could just have put in these energies into publishing their own standard, no? IEEE publications can "reference" their own "documents", right? Does IEEE need a permission from TLS WG to do that? If not, I would actually encourage IEEE 802.11 WG to actually take this draft as a starting point and standardize it. That would help us avoid this problem altogether, and focus on other urgent WG items.
