Short-term & long-term positions available at Manweir, a leading engineering services company in Qatar, working to API Q1 & ISO 9001 QA Management Systems. Candidates with minimum academic qualification of Secondary school graduation (10^th grade), followed by formal training in the respective trade and experienced in the oil & gas industry or industrial process plants will only be considered for these positions. Candidates with exposure to ISO 9001 would be desirable. Salary shall be negotiable. Company offers free accommodation and free passage.

1. Mechanical Technicians (Short term) - 20 Nos.

Mechanical Engineering diploma, fluent English and more than five years experience. Good at engineering drawings, assembly drawings, alignment & hydraulics. Determines scope of work to overhaul / refurbish rotating / static equipment, identifying appropriate tooling, spares, etc. to carry out the work. Posses good team spirit and is familiar with safe working practices and procedures for shutdowns / project sites. Hand-on experience in repairs / rebuilding / maintenance of rotating equipment such as turbine (steam & gas), gas compressors & pumps.

2. Maintenance Fitter (Short term) - 20 Nos.

Millwrights, speaking fluent English and having 2-3 years experience in the maintenance field. Capable to determine scope of preventive / periodical maintenance work needed on a variety of mechanical equipment.

3. Valve Technicians (Long term) - 4 Nos.

Experienced in overhauling / calibration / testing of control valves, safety relief valves, MOVs, Ball / Gate / Plug / Globe / Check / Butterfly valves, including overhauling of actuators. Capable of handling all types of test equipment, able to prepare test reports, and familiar with relevant Stds. / Specs. related to API, ANSI, ASME, FCI, etc.

4. Instrument Technicians (Long term) - 3 Nos.

Experienced in overhauling / calibration / testing of all types of analogue / digital instruments, pressure gauges, load cells, torque gauges, chart recorders, thermometers, transmitters, control relays, dead weight testers, etc. Should be familiar with relevant standards & able to prepare test reports.

5. Centre Lathe Turner (Long term) - 3 Nos.

Minimum 3 years experience. Should be thorough in machining of various types of thread forms such as BSW, UNC, NPT, ACME, Square threads and taper turning. Experience in production of tool joints (tubular & casing connections) such as Buttress, VAM / VAM TOP, NK3SB, Atlas Bradford, SLHC, etc. shall be advantageous.

6. Machinists (Long term) (Horizontal/Vertical borers, Milling & shaping) - 2 Nos.

Conversant with operation of machining tools such as borers (horizontal & vertical), milling, shaping & drilling machines. Able to establish job requirements and identify appropriate tooling, and plan work procedures from the verbal instructions and specifications provided by the supervisor. Should be familiar with machining of mechanical components such as pump bodies / housings, gears, bushes, etc.

7. Fabricators (Long term) - 5 Nos.

Minimum 3 years working experience in steel structural / pipeline fabrication. Able to read / interpret engineering drawings and thorough in metal cutting techniques, grinding, etc. Should be able to carry out tack welding.

8. Welders (6G / 6GR) (Long term) - 5 Nos.

Minimum 3 years working experience. Able to establish precise requirements and identify appropriate equipment, consumables and follow work procedures. Ability to read engineering drawings, thorough in welding in 6G & 6GR positions TIG (GTAW) / SAAW. Ability to carry out metal spray (overlay) stainless steel on flanges / grooves, tungsten carbide overlaying on stabilisers, mills, etc. shall be advantageous.

9. Planners (Mechanical & Electrical) - 2 Nos.

For Petrochemical Complex

Basic Function: Plans and co-ordinates maintenance repairs or overhauls for the assigned discipline (including procurement of spares and other materials for the tasks).

Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5-7 years experience in maintenance & overhaul in an industrial process facility, ideally in the petroleum / down stream industry. Should be intelligent, creative, hard working, conversant with all relevant standards/specifications and with good communication skills
