True.  And they provide some advantages over the fingerprint technique.
In that I'm the ONLY person who can verify my fingerprint.  But w/gpg
or pgp, anyone can verify my sig, if they have access to my public key.

Of course, the advantage of TMDA's fingerprint is that it's really
inconspicuous.  It's also easy to delegate the responsibility of
fingerprinting to TMDA.
