I dont bother with the "| mail" bit - cron does that for me (on Linux
anyway). No tmda-pending output == no mail. My shell account crontab
is like:

35 7 * * * /users/marcus/src/tmda/bin/tmda-pending -q -b -d -O 30d
30 8 * * * /users/marcus/src/tmda/bin/tmda-pending -Cbs

cron does the rest for me. Works for me anyways.
