echo "#" > /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-bounce
I'm sorry I don't understand the "#" and what that signifies.
According to dot-qmail(5), a line starting with a "#" is a comment in such a file. Because there is nothing else in the file, the message probably gets dropped by qmail.
This is probably a better place to drop your bounces instead of making TMDA do it.
