TMDA doesn't perform checks on the validity of the sender, so if you get a great deal
of spam, you're going to end up with a great deal of bounces, which not only eat up
system resources, but take up bandwidth, your bandwidth and other peoples bandwidth on
doomed SMTP transactions. Which is a very good reason to implement other anti-spam
measures prior to TMDA which weed out such addresses.

Look into using rblsmtpd, and patching qmail to reject mail from non-resolving hosts,
etc.
