TMDA doesn't perform checks on the validity of the sender, so if you get a great deal of spam, you're going to end up with a great deal of bounces, which not only eat up system resources, but take up bandwidth, your bandwidth and other peoples bandwidth on doomed SMTP transactions. Which is a very good reason to implement other anti-spam measures prior to TMDA which weed out such addresses. Look into using rblsmtpd, and patching qmail to reject mail from non-resolving hosts, etc. HTH -jps --- -jamie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> w: http://silverdream.org | p: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Support The Blue Ribbon Campaign - http://eff.org/br _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
