Is there really an asterisk in the email address of the mailing list? Or are you trying to make a sender address that works for wildcard senders? If the latter, it won't work. A sender address is specific to a single sender. > after subscribing to the mailing list, I tried to post a mail to this list and > got back a bounce mail and from the header, I found the from address is > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > my tmda outgoing log says > > Date: Sun Dec 28 20:06:21 PST 2003 > XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > From: R'twick Niceorgaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Rept: R'twick Niceorgaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subj: testing please discard > Actn: to [EMAIL PROTECTED] tag reply-to dated from > [EMAIL PROTECTED](740) It looks like maybe that's the case. When mail comes to you from the list, what is the envelope sender's address? That is the address you need to use when generating your sender address. I would be surprised if it were "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".... Tim _____________________________________________ tmda-users mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://tmda.net/lists/listinfo/tmda-users
