I'm not a Sendmail guy, but it looks like this command might create entries in Sendmail's virtusertable. You may need to find out just what it's putting in that file. Here's a little more information from the FAQ: http://tmda.net/faq.cgi?req=show&file=faq03.001.htp Also, have you carefully followed the instructions for Sendmail on both of the following pages? http://tmda.net/config-pre.html#sendmail http://tmda.net/config-server.html#sendmail For example, if you haven't set up procmail as the system MDA (as discussed on the Pre-Configuration page), the variables that TMDA needs, such as SENDER, RECIPIENT and EXTENSION may be empty. If that's the case, it might explain why you end up with the default hostname rather than the actual recipient's hostname.
