Ok. This is really strange. I don't understand this problem. It seems to
be working sometimes and not other times. For example, one of the emails
that I sent to the list generated this entry:

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:11:26 EST 2004
        XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        Rept: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subj: Re: Using pipe filter source...
Actn: OK (pipe /home/mark/bin/tmda-fingerprint accept) (4118)

Note the Actn: line which implies that the pipe filter source worked.
A little later, I sent myself an email to remind me of something and I
got this:

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:55:38 EST 2004
        XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Subj: Don't forget
Actn: OK (pipe /home/mark/bin/tmda-fingerprint accept) (860)

(Of course, because I knew the fingerprints weren't working I sent it to
a dated address, but that's not what got checked.) When I noticed this,
I immediately sent myself another email to a dated address and an email
to my bare address. I would have expected both to generate the same log
entry, but they did not. Below the email with subject "testing b1" was
to a dated address, and "testing b2" was to a bare address.

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:57:44 EST 2004
        XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Subj: testing b1
        Actn: OK good_dated_cookie (Sun Mar 14 21:57:38 EST 2004) (810)

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:57:54 EST 2004
        XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Subj: testing b2
        Actn: CONFIRM action_incoming (750)

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:57:54 EST 2004
        XPri: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Subj: testing b2
        Actn: CONFIRM pending 1078714674.23685.msg (750)

        Date: Sun Mar 7 21:57:54 EST 2004
        Sndr: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        From: Mark Horn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        Rept: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
          To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        Subj: Please confirm your message
Actn: DROP (from [EMAIL PROTECTED] drop) (2610)

The b1 test did not perform the same as "Don't forget" log entry. And the
b2 test did not do what I expected it to do: execute tmda-fingerprint and
upon success, to allow it in.

I'm so confused.

Help!
- Mark
