I'll have a look at your tmda-ezplm. The documentation lacks, so I'll have to install it to see what it does. Does it send text/plain and text/html multipart emails?
The tmda-cgi is a great interface. However, what I want is a daily email that looks nice to HTML email clients. My users don't always remember to log into tmda-cgi to check their pending queue.
