What is everyone doing about spammers who are forging there envelopes to
include
an envelope-from address that is whitelisted?
Here is an example of the first two headers of a spam I received,
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Received: from internet1.net (adsl203-150-113.mclink.it [213.203.150.113])
by mail.my-domina.com (8.12.10/8.12.10) with SMTP id i66HIxE4006053
for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 6 Jul 2004 17:19:01 GMT
(envelope-from [EMAIL PROTECTED])
I am wondering if testing the Return-Path domain vs. the Received domain
might help.
I have looked through good emails and spam and see that the spammers never
match
these up, while all of my good emails do.
Any help is appreciated. TMDA has stopped thousands of spam every day here.
But, now, with forged enveloped, we are starting to get back to ~100 a day
getting
through.
THANKS
