Hi All,

We are setting up a new corporate mail server, and
wish to enable TMDA on it. The backend is Postfix
v2.1 usinf LDAP authentication. Mandrake 10.0
(official) is the Linux distro.

It is pretty much working okay, *except* when one
replies to a confirmation message, it is bouncing
back. Here is an example of such a bounce:

--- CUT HERE ---
Requested mail action not taken: mailbox unavailable
Server replied: 450
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local
recipient table
--- CUT HERE ---

Note: In the above, 'USER' and 'domain.tld' were put
there in place of the real user and domain, for
purposes of this email.

I can definately see the messages in the user's
'pending' queue, and of course the sender receives a
message that his address is not recognized, and to
confirm their email address, but as you can see above,
the confirmation bounces.

Where does this "temporary" confirmation address get
stored? Any light you may may be able to shed on this
would be greatly appreciated.

TIA.

Alan Murrell
