It would just be nice to know that the availability of future updates and upgrades is there and that TMDA is not dead code.

Although I don't have any problems with the current status of TMDA, I
do rely on it for my last line of defense against spam. This would be a
contribution I could make.
If the project has truly been abandoned by the core development team
it might be best to fork it. That assumes that there is anyone out
there who would work on it.
