Hello, friends Does anybody know, or have any tip, on what would be the best hardware configuration for an e-mail server(with SA and TMDA) that receives aprox. 50k messages a day?
Today, our e-mail server is an IBM F50 running AIX 5.2 and Postfix 2.1.5. The machine has a 433MHz Risc processor and 1GB of RAM. I've installed both tools(SA and TMDA) on the IBM machine. They were doing there job pretty well but the performance was not good. CPU usage was always at 100% and the postfix mail queue was always growing up. The system works fine with SpamAssassin alone but we really want to use TMDA. So, please....give us some help on defining a new hardware.
