Hi all
I am about to put up a test TMDA implementation with our qMail mail relay server (testbox)
Question...
Since TMDA is going to be setup on the qMail relay server, how do users, with accounts on our internal mail server access TMDA features/functions ?
Is there a web based frontend that will allow "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" to manage his TMDA address ?
If you're running a "relay" mail-server, then typically, there are no per-user configurations.
I.e. every email comes into the relay mail-server, gets processed according to the same rules under one "account", then gets forwarded on to your internal mail-server.
That said, I guess you could configure a user account on the relay server for each account on your real internal server. That way, there would be a separate TMDA configuration per user, so they could have different filters/lists/...
Then, your relay server would basically be exactly the same as a regular mail server, except that final delivery would be setup as SMTP to your internal mail server, instead of to the user's maildir on the relay server as would typically happen.
(Incidentally, unless your internal mail-server is an MS-Exchange box, or can't run TMDA for some other reason, there's little point setting up a separate box to be the relay server if you do this)
In such a scenario, the tool you're looking for is tmda-cgi. You can find info at:
