Hello, I was hoping someone could help me with a problem. I just setup TMDA on a Debian system which runs Sendmail 8.10 via procmail. It seems to be working quite well. I have one domain tied to this server but I still added all of the accounts in Virtual Users. So I guess I sort of have Virtual Domains setup but not totally.

I also have another system that acts as a backup MX which also runs Sendmail 8.10. It provides backup MX for other servers running Exchange and I have this kewl little script I wrote which grabs all of the email addresses from the Exchange servers, formats them and adds them to the backup MX's Sendmail Access Database. This keeps spammers from sending mail to a non-existant user for a domain which is relayed to the proper gateway.

I turned around and modified the script so that I could take the Virtual Users table on the server running TMDA and create a list which would be compatiable with Sendmail's Access Database. I have one problem though; how do you tell the access database to allow extension addresses to be relayed with the rest of the mail for that domain? I checked out Sendmail's site and did not find any information which would allow extension addresses to be relayed.

I'll also submit a query to Sendmail's list since this is somewhat off topic, but if anyone has found a way to do this, I would appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Jason Osborne
