Is TMDA working without the validrcptto patch (ie, qmail is accepting
extension addresses)? When I first setup TMDA with qmail. this was my
first problem.

Regarding the validrcptto stuff, may be it would be easier to use the
qmail-spp (smtp plugin ) patch from http://qmail-spp.sf.net and write
your own plugin which could call tmda-check-address and if the address
is valid then pass it otherwise reject.
