After wondering if a certain annoyance has been fixed I looked for a new version of TMDA to replace my unstable snapshot from 2004-04-21.
Finding none, I grabbed the latest snapshot, tmda-UNSTABLE-20050504. Comparing them I find they are virtually identical, with the 2004 version I have installed slightly superior due to 'hotfixes' I got from this list sometime in the past year.
Is the unstable snapshot the latest version I'll find?
TMDA has two branches - stable (production) and unstable (development)
The latest stable release is 1.0.3 as of 2004/05/01 The latest unstable release is 1.1.4 as of 2004/04/05
The weekly "snapshot" releases are probably 99.9% identical to these releases right now.
There hasn't been a lot of active development on TMDA for a while now. On the stable branch, things pretty much just work. The "unstable" branch is intended for new feature development, which nobody has been working on recently, mainly because the stable branch pretty much just works.
By the way, if anyone has fixed bugs in 1.0.3 and has patches, it might be a good idea to post the information to the mailing lists (most likely the dev list) so those patches can be integrated.
