Clonus is the rapid osculation of a muscle set, e.g., as when someone "normal" and sitting does not have enough pressure of a foot on the floor and the knee/heel sort of jumps up and down for many seconds or minutes. This "normal" motion is often seen in teenagers. True clonus is the result of spasticity and might be seen, for example, in a raised foot shaking very rapidly.
