Hello Kate,

My name is Jude and I am a T4, complete paralytic.  My fourth anniversary is in June, so not that far away.  I am in tremendous pain to which I attribute much of my depression.  If the pain weren't so bad, I reckon' I would be more mobile, therefore less depressed.  Maybe, I'm wrong.

Of course, last week I attributed the depression to something else completely, so what do I know?  And, as my good friend Sally says that scientists have found a chemical discrepancy within the brains of us TM'ers recently found to be the cause of the depression.  It seems as though there are as many causes for being depressed as there are reasons for contracting TM in the first place.

Kate,  you just need to hang in with the rest of us.  Listen to all, keep what sounds reasonable to you, and get rid of the rest.  Try to live in the present day which gets somewhat easier.

The "numbers" appear to be true...about 1/3rd of us improve quite well, 1/3rd of us improve with some degree of disability, and about 1/3rd of us recover not at all.

I wish you only and all the very best regarding your battle with TM.  I will add you to my Prayers and keep me informed as to your condition.

Love, Hope & Prayers,
Jude
