I tried Neurontin in the very early stages,  for about 3 days.  The effect of it was worse than the pain!  It certainly made my life foggy.  The only medication I have now for tm is Zoloft.  Still on 50mg a day, just seems to keep life smooth.  I had about 18 months before I would take that though and my memory was just as bad.

I have days where it's OK and I can achieve heaps, on other days, well, heaven knows!

I was once in a speech therapy session with a friend of mine who had had a stroke and had lost her speech.  I noticed on the wall behind the therapist,  a little sign.

When I was on nuerontin, I had major short term memory problems.  When I went off it, my memory problems went away.  Although, when I am in more pain and tired, I do have some memory problems.  I chalk this up to fatigue.

Hello everybody --- I have been reading your stories.  Don't you think that it is the various drugs you are taking that might be causing the balance and especially the memory problems?

I'm not on any drugs for TM. Synthroid for partial thyroid removal due to a benign lump about 17 tears ago, and Toprol for a heart rhythm problem -- I don't know if either of those are supposed to affect balance or memory. At 49, I know some of it is due to getting older. :)

But you're right, there are some drugs that would affect balance and memory.
