For those who didn't see the article in People magazine, it is about a teacher who was hit with TM and left a quadriplegic in 2006. She is back teaching with the help of close friends who put stuff on the blackboard (which she can't reach from her wheelchair), give out papers, writing on the kid's papers, etc. It really is a wonderful situation for her so she can continue a job she loves and is quite good at. What disappoints me is hardly anything is mentioned about TM. It says: Transverse Myelitis, a rare, sudden-onset neurological disorder. That is it. It sounds like she is the only one in the world to have it. Just wish they would have expanded on TM more than they did.
What do you all think? Janice
