very well put.

just another real life experience.

one of my family Dr's told me to research things and if i find anything that we
haven't tried to tell her and she would do anything that I wanted to that we
might find relief.

she is one of 4 family Dr's that i have other than the neurologist and of
course my sis-n-law RN.

I appreciate your vent because it is about the same story all over the world.

I pray that you/we find things that make even a small difference.

you know the precept:"man born of woman is of a few days and full of trouble."

I pat you on the back and say do what you can as hard as you can when you can
and rest when you have to.

I'll send ya a bill for my expert medical opinion..

oops,,,,I oue you still for yours!

rest my friend

John,

            Welcome
to the club of “pharmaceutical non-responders.”

            I
take 12-16 50mg doses of Tramadol and 6-8 hydrocodone daily, and I might as
well be taking either aspirin or sugar pills. And the only thing that helps me
sleep at all (albeit only 2-3 hours/night) are 6-8 Tylenol PM’s each
night.

            And
yes, I am aware I am probably damaging my liver. I have tried taking just the
sleep aid diphenhydramine HCl 25mg in the same number. It just does not work
for me.

            Going
to clinic in the morning. I can no longer walk at all without my cane, and even
then I am very unsteady. I cannot close my hands in order to grasp things. And
my lips and other parts of my face have numbness. Of course I really expect my
PCP to say “Hmmmm, wellllll, I just don’t know. Let’s run a
lot of unnecessary tests that won’t prove a darn thing but at least it
makes me feel like I’m doing something.” Of course, at the only
clinic we have in town all you can see is a nurse practitioner, not a
physician. For a doctor you have to travel 2-3.5 hours. Nothing against NP’s;
but since most doctors don’t know anything about TM, I find NP’s
and PA’s even less likely to have any positive solutions.

            OK,
nuf ranting for one day.

Craig
