Actually, I had heard that there are many who are unemployed that are now applying for SSDI. They are using stress and illnesses that they previously worked through, but after the unemployment benefits ran out they want income and think it's not too hard to get. Some people may find it easier to get than others, depending on diagnosis. And there are doctors who will work with people and their paperwork. The state of the economy can lead to more people claiming disability benefits that normally would try to work. I remember many on here struggling to get their SSDI benefits and going through the appeals previously.

Am back from a great trip to Savannah, Ga., from Missouri. Confidence fits right in with my feelings on traveling. Was scared to death something would go wrong with any one of my body parts the first trip or two. Now, can enjoy it much more, still a little nervous, but am more confident. Missed you guys! That is what we were robbed of after the TM hit us. Very well said, Lori. Now that I am back in the USA with its Americans with Disabilities Act, I might head out there again. I was on SSDI for almost 14 years, what a waste of time. I can work and most likely could have worked, I just didn’t have the confidence after such a traumatic change in life. After a few years, recovery stopped and learning to live with TM took over and nothing has changed, other than attitude.
