in Japan you say the family name first. Oroku Saki's last (family) name is Oroku. "Saki" is his first name. Which is something that bothered me in the cartoon when they'd mix that up and start calling his family members "Saki". Like Hamato Yoshi. The family name is Hamato....am I repeating myself?

Actually, it's funny you mentioned the toon because there was this ep they did in 1993 where Shredder went back in time to Acient Japan where he met his ancestor, Oroku Sancho. Then Splinter and the Turtles went back where they met Hamato Koji. So in a sense, they did get it right when it counted the most.
