Subject: Cam Clarke spotted in EGM

Hey guys,

I just got the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (#158), and, on the preview for the GameCube game Robotech: Battlecry on page 116, there's a little sidebar with information about Cam, as long as a picture.

Maybe I don't want to know but curiosity is biting my bum.  What does the picture look like?  I'm thinking it's either his normal head shot pic or the picture of him from his Inside Out album where it looks like he's praying.

At the risk of being hunted down and prosecuted under the wonderful DMCA (:-P), here's a snippet for those of you who don't have the magazine: "Robotech fans know him as Max Sterling. Gamers likely know him best as the nefarious Liquid Snake of Metal Gear Solid fame. Next month, you'll hear Cam Clarke as the voice of Jack Archer, Battlecry's main character. By our count, Cam's now been in somewhere around 25 different games for consoles, PCs and arcades."

I'm noticing a lot of voice actors are turning to video game characters.  I do mean a lot as in the well-known ones.  Is the money better than cartoon voices or is it more in-demand?  Well, the majority of kids play video games compared to watching cartoons.

LOL, that's right, I forgot he was in Metal Gear Solid 2's credits. I think there may have been more TMNT toon voice actors as well, though nobody in particular comes immediately to mind. I'll have to check that out on the IMDb when I get a chance.

I remember when I was working at Toys "R" Us, I found a video game magazine with an article of one of those games and connection of stars.  Like for example so and so starred alongside with so and so in the film whatever which had a brief cameo of....and it went on like that.  Cam was listed as one of the stars.  It was a mention for "Metal Gear Solid 2" and it was a very very small black and white picture from his Inside Out album.  When I read the article in the store, at the same time, "We Are One" was playing on the overhead radio.  Since I was there a full eight hours, the music tape repeated over and I heard it like five times throughout the day!  Drove me nuts.  I almost wanted to scream and get off the register.  There was no escaping it!
