~Hi All--
~Well, late last night while the world slept, Mikey QM and I plotted a
rough plan.... I agree with him that hosting it at behindthemasks would be
nice since that would help keep Dawn in da loop, even if this year she
cannot actively participate. The site we're talking about isn't the
GW's TMNT Lair or Dawnatello's TMNT but the "mother ship" site: http://www.behindthemasks.com/
Mikey offered to help with
the page design and html schtuff, and I see a *lot* of other people have
come forward with offers to help so here's my suggested time line, taking
into account the mid-Oct projected start date for the Fan Art Awards that
Amandatello will be hosting.
First week in September we take suggestions
and decide on categories. If someone was willing to research the last
year's categories (and which fics won in each) that would be very cool.
Maybe a couple of people could decide then what this year's categories
will be. Then September 9 through the 29th we have nominations. This gives
us four weeks plus to get reading (and *writing* those last- minute
chapters and short stories!!) If someone wanted to compile the
nominations, and/or work with me and Mikey doing this, that would be
great.
Voting could be Sept. 30th through Oct.12.--that's
two weeks to read whatever fics were nominated that we didn't read yet. Or
we could go three weeks to get nominations in and three weeks to
vote...
Ok, this is a rough outline, and I'm open to suggestions.
Does anyone want to design the award gifs? As in the past, I think 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place in each category would be a good idea.
Let me know what ya'll think. I think we can pull it
off.
